Starr Reina was born and raised in New York in a small town called St. Johnsville. Reading brought her the most joy and she was always aspiring to be the next great author. Having always had a passion for literature, as a child she spent most of her time in the library reading.
She is a paralegal of fourteen years for an estate planning and asset protection law firm in Woodland Hills, California. When not working, she enjoys weaving tales of suspense, drama and crime.
She is a member of Suspense Magazine of California, Sisters in Crime, Los Angeles Chapter and nationally and Ventura County Writer's Group of Newbury Park, California. She has won three ‘Best Speaker’ awards as well as ‘Best Evaluator’ at the Voice Ambassadors chapter of Toastmasters. She was a co-chair and main coordinator for the West Coast Author Premiere, a weekend long event which was born to help authors from all over network, learn and share their work with the public. She has been instrumental in compiling authors and planning a local author event at Barnes and Noble in Ventura, California along with the store’s event manager.
She recently placed third in a short story contest hosted by Suspense Magazine with her brief saga titled "Cut".
